Network stumbler crack wep

Log in or Sign up. OCAU Forums. Joined: Jun 28, Messages: 8, Location: Melbourne. Interesting problem with my WiFi tonight. Yes, i know WEP sucks. For me, it's an acceptable risk, etc. Try a few things that usually do the job - reboot router, reboot PC, re-enter key, etc.

Still no luck. Sometimes the network is visible, but i can't connect, sometimes it's not. Fire up Network Stumbler. No connections available. Fair enough. Wander into the same room as the AP, and fire up the laptop.

No connection. Try the usual steps, and it eventually picks up the network. Low signal strength, which is unusual. Fire up Network Stumbler on the laptop. Network is flaky all evening. Doesn't look like an interference thing. Aircrack-ng will be trying to read that bit random number I told you about in the previous video, and it is going to run statistical attacks on it and then when it finds two packets with the same IV it will crack the WEP key for us.

So airodump-ng is very easy. We just need to put channel and then bssid and then write the output. Using aircrack-ng is even more easy. We just type in aircrack-ng and after that we are going to write the file name. The file name is similar to the file name in airodump-ng. It will actually be the file in which we are capturing the packets. So it is going to get more clear when we actually do it.

So now I am going to say airodump-ng wlan0mon to check the Wi-Fi available for us and here is our test network. After that we specify the channel, and the channel is 1, and then we give it the output file name. So we can say here output-wep-crack or you can give it any name you want and after that we are going to say wlan0mon. So, it is very easy.

Airodump-ng —bssid of the Wi-Fi or network we are trying to hack or crack the key, then channel and then the name of output file and then the interface monitor mode it is running on. So it is very easy. We say aircrack-ng and after that we have to put the file name.

So we say output -wep-crack and then the capture file. So, we have this file available. We can say aircrack-ng then after that we can copy it or we can just type in output and then capture file.

So it is saying that it failed to find two packets with the similar IV or similar random number so it is going to try next on 5, IVs. And you remember in the last videos we said that data is the number of useful packets we captured.

So now it can get more clear to you that these are the packets with different kind of IVs. For example, we have captured 2, packets right now and each of those packets have a different IV.

So we actually need an IV or we need two packets with different IVs. I have had to change the code and i have got to run prism-getIV. It's very important because i want to evaluate my own wireless network. I hope that somebody have cracked wep key before. Thanks to everybody.

Second of all, its hard to help you when you dont say where you're trying to compile it, and what you're trying to do with the software itself. Third of all, use the search button on the upper right. Remember though, if your not capturing any weak packets, they may not be there. Newer firmware on both cards and APs is designed to filter out weak packets before they are transmitted. We do not condone illegal activity. Deal with it or go away. It you don't do either, we will be forced to deal with you. Specifically: "3. Don't do it again. If you'd read everypost in this thread you would realise that offence was taken to your first post in which you say you wantto use a program but can't find a crack for it. That is illegal. Do what you want to your own network, just don't use stolen software to do it. If you pay attention, I was defending your action to break WEP on your own network.
