When you insert a chart in Excel, it appears in the selected worksheet with the source data by default. Have you ever read something you didn't fully understand but when you saw a chart or graph, the concept became clear and understandable? Charts are a visual representation of data in a worksheet. Anyway, in the end, we found that installing Adobe professsional whichever the one is that allows you to 'Print' to pdf, rather than Office's 'Save As' and printing it to pdf worked, but we never did get the inbuilt functionality to work correctly.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, I've now left that job, so it's ceased being my issue, but I would still be curious if someone does find a solution. I experienced a similar problem after upgrading to office SP2. When I saved as pdf my charts were the wrong size and were positioned on the page incorrectly. The microsoft hotfix KB solved the problem -although it specifically mentions images rather than charts in the article.
