Microsoft office project server 2010 price
But I won't know the legitimacy of that quote, unless I hear examples from the community. Hello TooManyHats I would contact your preferred vendor for a cost estimate.
For licensing estimate you should contact your Microsoft representative. Let me ask another way. Toomanyhats I don't mean to be a smart alec, but you have heard from a very competent Microsoft Project Server consultant Michael Wharton and from a very knowledgeable Microsoft staff member Christophe Fiessinger.
Both of them have given you the same answer: you need to contact your Microsoft representative in order to get an accurate cost amount for the purchase of Project Server So, I would strongly suggest you follow their advice and contact your rep first to get the purchase price. Beyond this, you may also want to enlist the services of a competent Project Partner to assist you with your implementation.
There is no standard cost for implementation services, so you would need to select a Project Partner and then negotiate with them for the services you actually need. Beyond this, I do not know of any independent source that can tell you the costs of a Project Server installation. Hope this helps. Thursday, August 19, AM. Christophe, can you be my representative? Friday, August 20, PM.
I find your attitude toward Microsoft's representatives for Project Server to be puzzling at best. To date, I have personally known four Project reps. All four of them are sharp as a tack. None of them would try to sell you anything you don't want to buy, and every one of them would know the exact questions to ask you to give you an accurate quote. I would not hesitate to send any potential custom to them. I know I cannot speak for everyone, but I hold these four in the highest regard.
So, if you want a quote, I would still suggest that you contact your Microsoft rep. But, if you can get anyone else to give you a quote, go for it my friend.
